3 Indian Gymwear Brands I am watching - And Why They Are Winning

You can’t help but notice these three brands when you’re thinking of taking your first steps into the gymwear segment. They’ve each carved out a unique space whether through product innovation, community-building, or sharp positioning and they’re shaping how Indian activewear looks and feels.

As someone who’s slowly turned this work into a passion project, I’ve been closely observing what’s working and what could work even better. So here’s a mix of both: what I admire, and what I’d love to see next.

1. Blissclub

- What I love:

They’ve really changed the game when it comes to designing for Indian women and not just saying it. Their product names, copy, and overall vibe feel in sync with their audience.

- What could improve:

The visuals are starting to feel safe. Their branding could benefit from a creative push, something more experimental, more defining.

2. FUAARK

- What I love:

They’ve built a brand that speaks directly to Indian gym-goers — raw, bold, and unapologetically fitness-first. Their aesthetic reflects exactly who they’re serving, and they’re not trying to be everyone’s brand — which is a strength.

- What could improve:

There’s massive potential to elevate their branding and digital experience. A more premium, refined identity could help Fuaark compete on a larger, global scale without losing its core edge.

3. Cava Athleisure

- What I love:

Built by two sisters who clearly understand movement, CAVA brings in in-house fabric innovation, thoughtful fits, and a clean, functional aesthetic.

- What could improve:

Their communication still leans very practical. I’d love to see the emotive side of the brand surface more — give it some storytelling warmth.
